This year’s mission trip to Rancho Santa Marta outside of Ensenada is scheduled for June 9 to 17.  High school youth, with many exceptions made for slightly younger persons, are especially encouraged to explore this wonderful opportunity.

Rancho Santa Marta, located 130 miles south of the border on the Baja Calif. peninsula, is a non-denominational Christian Ministry for needy Mexican children. This 450 acre ranch provides a home to 50 children and youth, many who are orphaned or abused children, providing a safe, stable and caring environment as well as a special education K-9th grade school for 240 students.

Since 2001, St. John’s has partnered with our good friends at Faith Lutheran Church to engage in this vital and enriching mission. Our task while staying at the ranch is to help in building construction projects, working the orchard and lots of painting projects.

For information about the trip please talk to Jan McMahon, Brad Pierce or Fr. Richard.
