Garden Tour Funding Information and Application: Selecting Community Recipients
As general criteria, we will only consider local Christian programs such as Habitat for Humanity, Jesus Center, Torres Shelter, etc. or local community social service programs such as Youth and Family Programs, Catalyst, or Passages, etc. In addition, we would like the person or persons who proposed the group to take on the responsibility to serve as the liaison with that group, keeping ECW informed of their needs, activities that we might attend, their interest in participating in Garden Tour, and how they plan to use the Garden Tour funds.
Application forms are due to the church office by November 30th. They will be reviewed at the December ECW board meeting and a vote will be taken at the December ECW general membership meeting. Selection will be based upon many factors. An applicant is not guaranteed selection because of the number of groups may need to be reduced to increase much needed funding to those chosen.
Our Garden Tour donations to community groups have been very rewarding and enriching for us. We’ve been able to extend our outreach in the community, and increase the visibility of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Chico.
Please download or print the following document and return it to the church office by November 30.
