Tonight was a big night for us as we were invited to have dinners with the children in residence here in their group homes. All of us experienced wonderful hospitality and wonderful food.
My group was with one of the girls homes with residents from elementary school through high school. With their “a little bit of English” and our “poquito español” Cora and I managed a “conversation” with two of the girls about school. The older wanted to go to university to become a marine biologist.
After dinner games ensued. Our home tended toward gymnastics. Brad politely declined to perform a cartwheel. In the boys dorms, it is told, that competition was fierce as the cards came out.
We were all blessed by the evening, and look forward to them joining us for hot dogs tomorrow.
