This will be a brief post to let you all know that we have arrived safely at Rancho Santa Marta. Briefly, a great team has coalesced through two long days of (relatively) uneventful of travel. No break downs as in the past (Donatello, throwing a wheel in Tracy, a broken whatchamacallit in Buttonwillow – those with ears, let them understand.)
Instead, strangers Friday morning were fast friends by Sunday evening. Emma and Bailey even were dressed the same as we crossed the border. (What was up with that?)
Great lunch at San Ysidro at the Fish Mart. Smoked tuna tacos highly recommended.
Eucharist this evening drew the day together with an awesome message from Taron and music from Clark and yours truly. Mostly Clark and his flute. Although I brought some wicked G chords into the mix.
Tomorrow after watching the Santa Marta students in their weekly patriotic assembly to salute the Mexican flag, we will begin our jobs around the Rancho.
More hopefully in the morning.
