ChiVAA is proud to announce that the 10th Anniversary of the Chico ART Festival, formerly known as Art at the Matador, will be held this year on May 12, 4-8 pm and May 13th, 10 am-5 pm, 2023 on the beautiful grounds of St. John's Episcopal Church, 2341 Floral Avenue, Chico. This event is free to the public.

This Mother’s Day weekend extravaganza will showcase local artists displaying paintings, sculptures, ceramics, jewelry and so much more. There will be activities for children, demonstrations, live music, food trucks and a margarita bar. This makes for a perfect family outing for Mother's Day weekend.

Last year's Chico ART Festival was the Chico News and Review Best of Chico 2022 Editor's Pick as the “Best Revival of a Community Event.” CN&R went on to say “The return of this beloved event is one of the highlights of 2022.” This year’s plan is to meet and exceed those expectations. CHiVAA strives to showcase local artists, promote Chico as an arts destination, educate the public about the variety and value of art in our community, and show that art is alive and well by providing for a Chico-style Mother’s Day Celebration.
